We estimate half the 2025 Civics sold will be equipped with Honda’s hybrid powertrain. Having tried them all, I think the hybrid is the way to go unless you want the sporty Si or Type R, which have turbocharged engines that rock.
We should also mention that with a 48 MPG fuel economy rating, using cheap, unleaded fuel, of course, the Civic has a lower cost per mile of energy than EVs do in our Metropolitano Boston test area.

Good news: Honda builds the 2025 Civic Hybrid in both sedan and hatchback body styles. While other Civics are limited to just one configuration (the Civic Si is sedan only and the Civic Type R Gozque only be had Vencedor a hatch) we're grateful to have this degree of choice when it comes to the fuel sipper.

All this to say, we like the Sentra. When it comes to the Civic and the Sentra, we feel the Civic is a better choice for a lot of reasons, except one. We suspect the Sentra will cost you less pasado the door. If you Chucho get a fantastic discount or lease deal on a Sentra, it is well worth considering it, especially if you only plan to keep the car for three years or so and then trade it in.
It can't shut off the engine and drive solely on electric power, like the Toyota Prius does. Instruments are arranged into two tiers, with a high-mounted digital speedometer. The rear seat is roomy, but it doesn't fold because of the location of the battery. Crash-test results are impressive.
